You Can’t Run From HYDE
March 30th, 2004 by AdministratorOfficial Press Release
San Diego, CA, March 26, 2004—IDW Publishing and Steve Niles give a new slant to the meaning of bipolar. With the release of Hyde, Niles proves once again that he is the new king of comic book horror.
Two incredibly brilliant scientists race against each other to unlock the secret of man’s dual nature. When they succeed in uncovering this horror of the mind and body, a terrified city becomes a victim.
“I have to admit, of all the projects I’ve worked on,” Niles says, “Hyde sends a chill down my spine. I am horrified by the idea of a man without guilt or remorse who is motivated by lust, greed, and violence, and in Hyde, that is the sum of the man, and it is a horrifying prospect. This one crawls under my skin.”
Steve Niles, already noted for his blockbuster work on horror titles such as 30 Days Of Night, is joined by artist Aadi Salman of Silent Hill fame.
According to Jeff Mariotte, IDW’s Editor-in-Chief, “Hyde is a brilliant concept—so innovative that Dimension Films snapped up the movie rights before the one-shot was even finished. Fans who like their scares intense and thought-provoking will find a lot to admire in this modern classic.”
Hyde is a full color, 48 page one-shot with a cover price of $6.99.
