You’ve just gotta love a web site called Bookgasm. How can you not? Well, I guess if you were rather prude you may not like it, but I can’t image visitors to Steve Niles Web site are prudes. If you are, what are you doing here? You know Steve writes about horrific and gory things, right?
At any rate, those kids over at Bookgasm have taken quite the liking to Steve. They liked what Steve and Jeff Mariotte did in the new novel “30 Days of Night: Rumors of the Undead” saying, “… it’s a gripping, solid start of a new series that’s so exciting, I can feel it in my … er, blood.” Gotta love that!
The team at Bookgasm also took a look at “Bigfoot” saying it “…delivers in spades.” And they also enjoyed Steve’s contribution to the “Dark Delicacies” anthology.

The praise for “Bigfoot” keeps coming hard! Our new best friend Tom McClean at “Variety” writes, “Niles and Zombie’s story is a clear and engaging page-turner. There’s sex and violence, deaths and a mystery, all in the first issue. Corben, who’s consistently drawn brutality better than anyone in comics’ history, turns in another great job in a book perfectly suited to his stengths.
“It’s great to have a first issue of a miniseries that’s actually fun to read while it introduces characters and lays foundation for the rest of the chapters.
“Grade: A”
And Tom, right back at ya, you get an A from all of us at SteveNiles.com!

The free weekly magazine “Columbus Alive,” the independent music, art and culture magazine for Columbus, Ohio, shared the love seemingly everyone has for the Niles/Zombie/Corben “Bigfoot” #1. They especially enjoy looking at the pretty pictures Richard Corben provided for the first issue, proclaiming, “Corben’s idiosyncratic art makes this way better than your average killer monster comic.” Naturally, we agree.

Kurt Amacker over at Cinescape checks in with a glowing review of “Bigfoot #1.”
Unlike most horror comics, BIGFOOT actually managed to get to me a little bit. There is a dream sequence that’s downright twisted. It’s one of those disquieting images that lingers with you for a while.
Looks like Steve will be haunting Kurt’s dreams for a while. To read the full review,

Many of you probably picked up the latest Steve Niles/Rob Zombie collaboration “Bigfoot” when it came out last Wednesday. Well, Jen Contino over at the Pulse hooked up with our buddy Steve for a short Q&A about the book. It’s a fun little read, especially when sarcastic Steve shows up later in the interview:
THE PULSE: What’s the plans for Bigfoot after this issue?
NILES: We’re going to take some time off and go to Hawaii. I don’t know what Bigfoot has planned.
