Word comes today from industry trades that actor Danny Huston (“The Proposition,” “The Aviator”) has signed on to join the cast in the upcoming film adaptation of “30 Days of Night.” Huston will play the leader of the gang of vampires in the movie.
So, Huston joins Melissa George, Josh Harnett and director David Slade on the film thus far. Sure, we may be biased around here, but this movie is shaping up to be a lot of fun with a strong cast of creators involved.
“30 Days of Night” star Josh Hartnett got to talk a bit about the film earlier this month in an interview with ComingSoon.net.
“It’s less of a horror movie. You saw ‘Alien,’ right?” Hartnett asked Coming Soon. “It’s like that. It’s kind of a supernatural, but kind of a western, you know, in that genre. It’s all about being on the edge. The outskirts of society. Having to create your own society with an outside element creating massive fear and panic. Most of the film you don’t even know they’re vampires.”
