Steve’s one of the special guests at the show this year and joins an impressive list of talent that you won’t want to miss. The Emerald City Comic-Con is being held April 1st and 2nd in Seattle, Washington (naturally), at the Qwest Field Event Center. This two-day show runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday.

You’ve just gotta love a web site called Bookgasm. How can you not? Well, I guess if you were rather prude you may not like it, but I can’t image visitors to Steve Niles Web site are prudes. If you are, what are you doing here? You know Steve writes about horrific and gory things, right?
At any rate, those kids over at Bookgasm have taken quite the liking to Steve. They liked what Steve and Jeff Mariotte did in the new novel “30 Days of Night: Rumors of the Undead” saying, “… it’s a gripping, solid start of a new series that’s so exciting, I can feel it in my … er, blood.” Gotta love that!
The team at Bookgasm also took a look at “Bigfoot” saying it “…delivers in spades.” And they also enjoyed Steve’s contribution to the “Dark Delicacies” anthology.

Check it out, kids, Steve’s got a new one-shot coming from Image Comics this June called “The Cryptics!” Steve’s joined on this book by artist Ben Roman, who’s doing a bang-up job on Tokyopop’s “I Luv Halloween.” Once you take a look at these pages, it’s clear these two were meant to work together. We’ve got the full solicitation text for you to read, plus the cover and three interior pages for you to sample. Good times!

So, Steve’s got a new mini-series launching at DC comics in June. The character? The quite fantastic Creeper! Steve spoke with the folks over at Comic Book Resources about his plans for the series, his take on the character and, well, what present he bought Tom Jane for his recent birthday. All this done while driving through the streets of Los Angeles. Clearly, Steve isn’t frightened by the horror that is LA freeways.
