Covers to “Bad Planet,” “Giant Monster,” “The Lonely Tombstone,” “30 Days of Night: Dead Space,” “Fused Tales,” “Little Books of Horror” and “Long Pig” have all been added, so get on over there and download like crazed zombies.

Over in the store we’ve added a whole slew of new product for you to consider, including both editions of “Giant Monster” #1, “The Lonely Tombstone” (signed by both Steve and Nikki), “Little Book of Horror: War of the Worlds” and “Little Book of Horror: Dracula.” Plenty of stuff to drain your bank account with!

Rave Reviews All Around for “Giant Monster” #1

October 24th, 2005 by Administrator

Giant MonsterThe reviews are coming in for “Giant Monster” from Boom! Studios and it seems the kids, they likey! They likey so much they’re giving it away! The Comic Treadmill are giving away both issues of “Giant Monster” to one lucky reader who gives the best response to the question, “If you were a Giant Monster, whom would you eat?” Now, Steve Niles’ Webmaster may not be eligible to enter, but were I to answer the question I’d say, “The Kool-Aid Man. Because I’d like for that bastard to stop charging through my home and destroying my walls!” Wait, was that too old an reference for everyone? Damn.

Troy Brownfield says of “Giant Monster” #1, “Sometimes a giant monster book is just a giant monster book, and that’s okay. Niles, known primarily for a darker, more subtle species of horror, turns his keyboard loose on the giant monster genre of the ’50s, and comes up with a book that’s both different and fun.” Thanks, Troy.

Finally, those wacky bull riding martial artists over at KungFuRodeo.com also share some love of enormous creatures. “If you’re into the classic monster movies and don’t mind some blood and guts, you can do no better than ‘Giant Monster.’”

“Bad Planet” Week at CBR

October 21st, 2005 by Administrator

Our friends over at Comic Book Resources ran a week long look at Steve and Thomas Jane’s upcoming mini-series “Bad Planet.” Before we get to the links we’d like to remind you that “Bad Planet” #1 is in the current Previews catalog and orders are due at the end of this month. If you’re interested in the series, you should tell your retailer to reserve you a copy.

As for the interviews, the links below will take you to each of the features that ran on CBR this past week. There’s a two-part discussion with Tom & Steve that’s a lot of fun and then Lewis LaRosa and Tim Bradstreet get their turn. The week ends with the premiere of the Tom Jane directed “Deathleap,” a short Web movie from “Bad Planet” that’s not to be missed.

When you’re done checking out all the good stuff, hop on over to the Steve Niles . Com Forums and tell us what you think.

Ghouls, Monsters & Batman, Oh My! CBR Chats with Steve

October 14th, 2005 by Administrator

Long PigOur friends over at Comic Book Resources chatted with Steve at length about many of the projects he’s got hitting comic shops in the coming weeks, including “Monsters on the Prowl,” “Fused Tales,” “Long Pig” and the recently released “Batman: Gotham County Line.” Plus, he spills some news on “The Lurkers.” Pour yourself a cup o’ coffee (or a cuppa tea if you’re British), sit back and enjoy the Stevey-goodness.

Oh, and while I have you, doesn’t that Nat Jones “Long Pig” cover just kick some ass?

Talking Batman with the Washington Examiner

October 12th, 2005 by Administrator

No doubt that with “Batman: Gotham County Line,” Steve is making some noise. Steve just did an interview with the Washington D.C. Examiner and the interview is online here. Not much news for you hard core Steve Niles fans, but it’s always nice to see the main stream media do an article on comics where the headline isn’t “Bif, Bam, Pow,” especially considering this is a Batman piece.

October 10th, 2005 by Administrator

With Steve’s first DC Comics work out as of last Wednesday, the reviews are starting to come in and they’re good! Our friends over at Cinescape had some very kind words for “Batman: Gotham County Line.”

Here, a great first issue begins the darkest take on Batman written in a long time. Pick this one up.

October 6th, 2005 by Administrator

If you’re relatively new to the craze we like to call “Steve Niles Fandom” (we really need to come up with a better name for the craze), well there’s an interview you’ll want to check out. The folks over at Silver Bullet Comics conducted an interview that is primarily an overview of his professional work, dating back to his days when he ran the publishing company Arcane Comics. It’s a fun interview, so go have a look.
