This just in from Dark Horse…the entire first print run of CRIMINAL MACABRE #1 has sold out and will be going into a second printing right away.

Issue #2 hits the stands on June 11th, and with any luck so will the second printing of #1!

Take a look at this! DIAL M FOR MONSTER is the first collection of CAL MCDONALD prose short stories and art legend TIM BRADSTREET was kind enough to do the cover. The collection will also feature art by Ben Templesmith, Milx, Josh Medors and Breehn Burns. Stay tuned for updates.

NILES TO ATTEND MEDIA CITY COMIC CON! 5/9/03

Well, it’s time for another MEDIA CITY COMIC CON in wonderful downtown Burbank California!

Niles will be attending with previews of both DARK DAYS #1 and CRIMINAL MACABRE #1. He’ll also have FREE posters and books for sale.

Not much to say about this one. Take a look at the cover for WAKE THE DEAD, an upcoming shocker series written by NILES with art by Silver Surfer artist MILX, and you’ll see why there’s such a buzz building about this project and an amazing young artist. Stay tuned for more WAKE THE DEAD news!

WIZARD 141 hit the stands this week and it’s full to the brim with Niles/Templesmith mentions, plugs and articles! First, on page 20 CRIMINAL MACABRE has a mention in HOT READS; Five Books We Can’t Wait To Pick Up. On page 28 both DARK DAYS #1 and CRIMINAL MACABRE #1 are in the one and two slots of SCARE TACTICS; a scary summer comics preview. On page 4 is a now-outdated Niles to write for Top Cow article (Due to scheduling problems this project has been put on hold). And finally, the 30 DAYS OF NIGHT movie had its first mention in REEL WORLD: Wizard’s Guide to the Coolest Comic-Related Movie Projects! There’s a nice update mentioning the Columbia deal and where the script stands. Whew!
